Wide thin, and Wide fat are the same width, but the Wide Fat is "fuller" in your hand (like a Gibson), and the Wide Thin is more comparable to an Ibanez RG neck. Somewhere in between the difference between the Fender 1 5/8th and the 1 11/16th sizes. I know that I never got along with their wide/fat shape because I tend to prefer skinnier necks.
Webb1 juli 2024 · I have a PRS 408 with a pattern thin neck shape that I love. The PRS pattern regular neck shape, however, just feels too wide for me. I typically like medium-size necks or slightly smaller, however, I like the PRS wide fat neck and I've got an Asher Ultra Tone T Deluxe with a huge neck - close to an inch - that I really like as well, so go figure. Man, I hated that neck. The Wide Thin has none of that. It's definitely not flat or thin like the Wizard in my RG570, but it's thinner and faster than the Thin U in my LTD.
