The raman study of amphiboles

Webb4 feb. 2010 · Abstract Abstract— We studied micro Raman spectroscopy of amphiboles and pyroxenes in the martian meteorites Zagami and Lewis Cliff (LEW) 88516. The obtained Raman spectra of the amphiboles are similar to those of kaersutite, reconfirming the previous studies that they are kaersutitic amphiboles enriched in Ca, Al, and Ti. WebbThe use of heavy minerals as a stratigraphic tool in the study of loess sequences from NW Europe originated some 70 years ago. One major problem in using the available data sets is the heterogeneous stratigraphic context of the samples, given the complex historic evolution of the stratigraphic framework of loess sequences.

WebbVariations in the salinity of black smoker effluents (0.1–∼ 8 wt.% NaCl) relative to seawater (3.2 wt.% NaCl) are attributed to phase separation and segregation of the resulting brines and vapors. However, models of phase separation predict brines with substantially higher salinities than observed at vents and such brines are commonly observed in fluid … Webb5 juli 2024 · A wide range of natural K-, Na-, Ca- or (K + Li)-micas have been systematically examined by Raman spectrometry. The spectra are interpretable in terms of regular variations in peak positions and chemical parameters.
